Terms of Service | Jevx

The terms for using Jevx's typed decision service.

Last updated: September 2026

By using Jevx, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Who we are

Jevx is operated as an individual sole proprietorship under the name Jevx. You can reach us at support@jevx.org, which is monitored by a human on business days. The operator details, supported models, and current prices these terms refer to are listed on the about page.

Jevx is an independent tool built on the Jev API. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by TypeSafe AI. Jev and TypeSafe are the marks of their respective owner.

The service

Jevx provides a workspace and an API for running typed decisions: you submit a state — text or JSON — together with typed questions and criteria, and receive structured answers along with probabilities and a confidence value. Features, models, credit rules, and pricing may change.

The service does not generate prose, images, audio, or video. Its outputs are typed values.

Third-party AI providers

Decisions run on third-party AI infrastructure. The state, questions, and criteria you submit are sent to the provider that serves the model you selected, currently OpenRouter, which in turn routes to the underlying model vendor, TypeSafe AI. Jevx does not train models on your content.

Accounts

Keep your account information accurate and your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account, including activity through API keys you create. You must be at least 16 years old to use Jevx.

Acceptable use

These standards apply to every Jevx feature — the playground and the API — and cover the states, questions, and criteria you submit.

Prohibited use

You may not submit, or use the service to process, any of the following:

1. Content that is illegal to possess or transmit Child sexual abuse material, and material that facilitates terrorism, violent extremism, or the production of weapons of mass destruction.

2. Automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on a person, without human review Decisions about employment, credit, housing, insurance, education, immigration status, or access to essential services. A typed decision from this service is a signal, not an adjudication. Where the law gives a person the right to human review of such a decision, you must provide it.

3. Surveillance and profiling of individuals without a lawful basis Biometric categorisation of people by race, religion, political opinion, trade union membership, sex life, or sexual orientation, and social scoring of individuals.

4. Content whose processing you are not permitted to perform You are responsible for holding the rights and the lawful basis to submit whatever you send, including personal data belonging to other people.

Zero tolerance

Child sexual abuse material, terrorism and violent extremism, incitement to genocide or mass violence, and guidance on weapons of mass destruction carry no warning step: the account is terminated immediately, credits are forfeited, and the matter is preserved and reported to the appropriate authorities and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where the law requires it.

Other prohibited use

You may not misuse the service, bypass rate limits or safety filters, resell raw model access in a way that circumvents your plan, or interfere with other users or infrastructure. You may not deploy malware, spam, scraping, or automated abuse of the decision endpoints.

How we enforce this

We use a combination of automated filters on submitted content, provider-side moderation from the underlying model vendor, and human review of flagged and reported cases. Depending on severity and history, we may block a request before it runs, issue a warning, restrict or suspend features, or terminate the account. Credits spent on requests blocked for violating these rules are not refunded. Terminated users may appeal once by writing to support@jevx.org; we review appeals independently of the original decision.

Reporting a violation

If you see the service being used in a way that breaks these rules, report it to support@jevx.org with the subject line "Report", including a link or screenshot and a short description. This mailbox is monitored by a human on business days.

  • Child safety reports are handled first — mark the subject line "Urgent — child safety" and we will act on the same day we receive it.
  • We acknowledge reports within 3 business days and tell you the outcome once the review is complete.
  • Reporter identity is kept confidential and is never disclosed to the reported user.
  • Every report is reviewed independently on its own facts, not on who filed it.
  • If you believe content infringes your copyright or trademark, or depicts you without consent, write to the same address and we will remove it while we review.
  • Repeatedly filing reports known to be false is itself a violation of these terms and is recorded against the reporting account.

Your results

You own the states and criteria you submit and the typed answers you receive. You are responsible for how you act on them, and for confirming that you hold the rights to whatever you send.

A typed answer carries a probability and a confidence value. Those numbers describe the model's estimate, not a guarantee of correctness. Choose your own thresholds, and build a path for the cases that fall below them.

Payments and credits

Jevx sells credits. Credits are consumed per decision request at the cost shown before each run — a fixed amount for up to four questions, plus a small amount for each question beyond four; failed requests are not charged. You can buy credits as a one-time pack or through a recurring subscription plan. Prices, credit costs, and plan terms apply as of the time of purchase.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and never touch Jevx's servers.

Subscriptions and automatic renewal

When you provide a payment method and subscribe to a paid plan, you expressly authorize Jevx and its payment processor to automatically charge that payment method the subscription fee at the start of each billing period — monthly or yearly, as shown at checkout. This authorization continues until you cancel under the section below.

  • The renewal price is the plan price in effect at the time of renewal. We will notify you by email before any price increase takes effect.
  • We send a renewal reminder email before each renewal charge, at least 7 days in advance.
  • Subscription credits are granted at the start of each billing period and expire at the end of that period. Credits from one-time packs do not expire.

Cancellation

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account, at Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription, without contacting support. Cancellation takes effect immediately: your plan will not renew and you will not be charged again. You keep access to credits already granted for the current period. You may also delete your account entirely at Settings → Security.

Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which includes a 7-day refund window for first-time subscribers who have used little or none of their plan credits. The same policy is shown at checkout.

Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose of typed decision results.

Changes and termination

We may update the service or these terms. Material changes to these terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date at least 15 days before they take effect. We may limit or end an account or access to the service in case of a breach, abuse, or operational need.
